This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled on johntalaguit.com (the "Site"). The Site is owned and operated by John Talaguit ("I", "me", or "my"). I keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the Site and respond to you.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to visitors of johntalaguit.com, people who subscribe to updates, and people who contact me or book a call through the Site. It does not cover the separate agreements I sign directly with clients, which are governed by those contracts.

What information I collect

I only collect information you choose to give me, plus the basic technical data any website receives.

• Subscription details. If you subscribe to the Site, I collect your email address, and your name if you provide it, so I can send the updates you asked for.
• Messages and bookings. If you email me at support@johntalaguit.com or book a strategy call, I receive the details you share, such as your name, email address, and anything you tell me about your business.
• Technical data. Like most websites, my hosting platform automatically logs standard information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view. This helps keep the Site secure and working.

What I do not collect or use

This Site uses Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which pages actually help visitors: which articles get read, which links get clicked, and whether the booking button gets used. It is set up in a privacy-conscious way. Every advertising feature is turned off: no Google Signals, no ads pixels, no Meta or Facebook trackers, no remarketing, and no third-party marketing scripts. Google processes this measurement data as a service provider (see the Google privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy). If you would rather not be counted, use your browser blocking tools or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. I do not build advertising profiles on you, and I do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

No session recording, wiretapping, or interception

I want to be clear about this because it matters under California law, including the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA). This Site does not record your screen or keystrokes, does not use session-replay or session-recording software, does not run a chatbot or live-chat tool that intercepts your messages, and does not use tracking pixels or pen register and trap and trace style tools that capture your device or browsing activity for advertising. Nothing on this Site intercepts, reads, or shares the content of your communications with third parties. When you email me or submit a form, that information goes only to me and the service providers listed below that are needed to deliver it.

How I use your information

• To send you the updates or newsletter you subscribed to.
• To reply to your messages and prepare for a call you booked.
• To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
• To meet legal or tax obligations when required.

Cookies

The Site uses a small number of essential cookies needed for core features, such as keeping you signed in if you subscribe and remembering basic preferences. These are set by the Ghost publishing platform that powers the Site. Google Analytics also sets first-party cookies (_ga and related) to tell returning visitors from new ones. Visitors in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland are asked first and can decline, and analytics data is kept for 14 months. I do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Third-party services I rely on

To run the Site I use a few trusted providers, who process data only to deliver their service.

• Ghost. The Site is hosted on Ghost, which stores Site content and subscriber information and delivers email. See the Ghost privacy policy.
• Cal.com. If you book a call, scheduling is handled by Cal.com under its own privacy policy.

If you follow links to my profiles on LinkedIn, Facebook, or X, those platforms handle your data under their own policies.

How long I keep your information

I keep subscriber information for as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask me to delete your data, I remove it, except where I need to keep limited records to meet a legal obligation. Messages and booking details are kept only as long as needed to help you.

Your rights and choices

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email I send. You can also ask me to see, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you. Depending on where you live, such as the UK, the European Union, or California, you may have additional rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA. California privacy rights (CCPA and CIPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information I collect, to request access to or deletion of it, and to not be treated differently for exercising these rights. As described above, I do not sell or share your personal information, and I do not use the interception, session-recording, or tracking technologies that the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA) is concerned with. Your consent

By using this Site, subscribing, contacting me, or booking a call, you agree to this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection and use of your information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not submit your information through the Site.

Children's privacy

The Site is meant for business owners and is not directed at children under 16. I do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided me information, contact me and I will delete it.

International visitors

I am based in the Philippines and work with clients in several countries. If you visit the Site from outside the Philippines, your information may be processed in the Philippines or in the countries where my service providers operate. I take reasonable steps to protect it wherever it is handled.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I will change the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be made clear here.
